Education and Experience

I am a traveler at heart—nothing brings me more joy than hopping on a flight to anywhere.

In 2017, after ten years of full-time travel around the world, I decided to settle down and start my long-awaited university studies. I had been a CPA for the first fifteen years of my career and after a lot of time on planes

and trains to contemplate, I knew I wouldn't be going back: It was time to finally

pursue my passion of studying English and Writing.

I started my education at the Okanagan College (OCU) in Kelowna, BC, studying Spanish and Creative Writing. After completing my two-year diploma at OCU, I left for Mexico to continue my Spanish studies at the

UNAM university near Mexico City. Much of my studies were completed in the stunning

mountainside city of Taxco, where I completed a major in

Spanish language, history, art, and culture.

In the Spring of 2021, I completed my Bachelor of Arts through the Athabasca University with a major in Honour's English. I started my Master of Interdisciplinary Studies in September of 2021 with a focus in Writing,

and I completed my academic journey in English and Writing mid-August 2024.

In the fall of 2021, I started working with Paper.co out of Montreal, QC - tutoring students in English, Literature, Creative Writing, Research, and Essay Writing. Students hopped online whenever they needed some extra help or support.

The environment was incredibly fast paced, helping as many students as possible at all times.

In 2023, I transitioned to being an online Writing Coach and English Tutor for Ed Insight out of Vancouver, BC.

I have a more personal and collaborative relationship with my students in this environment

where I maintain the same students from week to week. I now hold sessions via Zoom,

where we practice their reading and writing skills, focusing on grammar,

punctuation, sentence and paragraph development,

tone, and style.
